Temaiken Biopark Day Trip
Temaiken Biopark
Temaiken Biopark is a one-of-a-kind natural space dedicated to conserving various species and ecosystems. Located in Belén de Escobar, just 50 km (31 mi) from Buenos Aires, it's a place where research and environmental education play a fundamental role, making Temaiken Biopark one of the most important destinations in South America.
Once inside, you can explore its more than 70 hectares, divided into large thematic areas. Native species, vegetation, and exotic flora come together in its various natural habitats.
One of its most notable areas is the Aquarium, where you can stroll among a million liters of Argentine seawater. Want to see the most exotic fish? Caribbean, Amazonian, and oceanic species call this place home. Don’t forget to say hello!
From the water, you can head straight to land by visiting La Chacra, the perfect place to meet the animals most typical of the Argentine countryside. Cows, chickens, and goats live alongside a vegetable garden where 28 varieties of vegetables are grown. Can you think of a better place to learn about agriculture and livestock farming?
In addition, the Temaiken Biopark is notable for its Bird Sanctuary. It features five aviaries housing more than 2,500 species from every continent. You can walk along wooden boardwalks and admire macaws, toucans, and exotic species roaming in semi-freedom.
And to top it all off, an audiovisual experience! Don’t forget to check out "El Arca de la Vida", which translates to The Ark of Life, a 360° documentary that will take you on a journey through nature across space and time.
